Information Wedding
Ivory & Pearls has successfully performed several wedding ceremonies at Zanzibar. Zanzibar has super beautiful pearly white beaches and with the turquoise blue ocean in the background or the sun setting, it is hard to imagine that there is a more romantic setting then this.
Our team in Zanzibar works with great passion for both small and large weddings. Small intimate ceremonies on the beach just the two of you, on the sandbar or on a dhow, getting married in the gardens of a hotel, it’s all possible.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, the wedding planner will contact you to complete the finishing touches. If necessary, an appointment can be scheduled before the day of the ceremony. For small ceremonies, the wedding planner will come to your hotel in the morning and the ceremony will follow in the afternoon. Several meetings are planned for big weddings.
The paperwork is pre-arranged before your arrival. We will pass on what is required to you and will also provide information before departure to Zanzibar whether the documents are in order. Then the marriage license is obtained.
After the wedding ceremony we will, if requested, have the certificate legalized so that registration in the municipality of your place of residence is possible. If the marriage is between two nationalities and it also needs to be legalized by two embassies, there are additional costs involved. Keep in mind that the bureaucracy in Africa is taking a bit longer and the corona measures cause unfortunately more delay. We do our best to keep pushing, but we are dependent on third parties and cannot do anything to speed up the process.
We can arrange everything for you, the accommodation, location, gazebo (simple bamboo arch with palm leaves or draped with colored silk) colorful local flowers, possibly snacks and drinks, champagne, bridal bouquet, wedding cake, music etc.
Our packages have a basic price and you can book extras to personalize your wedding. Due to the current situation, the cancellation conditions are more flexible. Request this with a no- obligation:
