Pilli Pipa

Pilli Pipa has being running dhow safaris since 1989. It is a small family owned company run by Selina and Harm Lutjeboer.  Limited  numbers and  a safe, personal and professional service to its guests.

Pilli Pipa have two traditional Arab dhows, Almasi and Monsoon. Guests are separated between boats for maximum comfort and individual attention. Both our boats have licences and insurance and satisfy British health and safety standards,  checked by leading tour companies. They have flushing toilets, sun shades and rain canopies.

Full Day:  Your day will begin with a pick up from your hotel to Shimoni. Tea, coffee and biscuits are offered on the dhow whilst you are being fully briefed.  Refreshments will be provided including fresh fruit and our famous home baked pizza bread. We take pride in offering only the freshest of produce from the region. After snorkelling we head back to the private garden of Selina and Harm(owners of Pilli Pipa) for a late lunch.

Often dolphins are coming to swim aside the dhow. When we jump into the ocean for a swim and snorkeling they come close to you. These are wild dolphins so free to go whereever they want!

This will truly be a meal to remember served by smiling Swahili ladies, with white wine and beer.  After  lunch you have time to relax over tea, coffee and patisserie in our ‘Day Dreamer’s Lounge’. Far from the maddening crowd!

You do can do some bird watching or look up anything you have seen in our comprehensive marine library then finally return to Shimoni by sail (weather permitting) where you will have time to visit the cave.
