Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival, your friendly driver-guide will greet your family at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Take time to relax and settle in after your journey — your adventure is just beginning!
Day 2: Shoebill Stork Search > Transfer to Jinja
Start the day with an exciting birding adventure in Mabamba Swamp, home to the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork — a thrill for nature lovers of all ages. After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a scenic drive to Jinja, a lively town along the Nile River. Upon arrival at your riverside campsite, the kids can safely explore or enjoy a supervised cycling activity.

Day 3: Adventure Day on the Nile – Jinja
After an early breakfast, kick off the day with a fun and safe quad biking session — child-friendly trails available. In the afternoon, enjoy tubing on the calm waters of the Nile, suitable for all ages with life jackets and experienced guides. End the day with a peaceful sunset cruise, followed by a cozy bonfire complete with family activities under the stars.

Day 4: Bigodi Swamp Walk & Optional Chimp Trekking
Today you’ll explore the vibrant Bigodi community with a captivating swamp walk. This experience supports local development and allows you to connect with Ugandan culture while surrounded by lush scenery. Kids can join in hands-on activities like basket weaving or farming. Adults can opt to track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest while children enjoy fun, guided activities.

Day 5: Farm Life & Crater Adventures
Depart Kibale Forest and head to Rubalika. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and choose to relax or get hands-on with fun farm activities like feeding animals, harvesting vegetables, or joining a guided nature walk. For the more active, gentle crater bike rides are available.

Day 6: Rwenzori Foothills Hike & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy a scenic community walk in Ruboni at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains. The short hike offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into local traditions. In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll spot hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife.

Day 7: Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth NP
Begin the day with an early morning game drive through the Ishasha sector, home to the famous tree-climbing lions. Kids will enjoy a special wildlife activity booklet to keep them engaged. After lunch at the lodge, head out for another game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you may see elephants, Uganda kobs, buffalo, and — with luck — lions or hyenas. The golden sunset light creates a perfect setting for wildlife photography.

Day 8: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, head south to the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the mountain gorillas. Enjoy a lunch stop in Kabale before arriving at your lodge nestled in the misty jungle. Relax and soak in the magical forest atmosphere, perhaps spotting playful monkeys overhead.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking & Forest Fun for Kids
After an early breakfast, adults will join a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trek, starting with a safety briefing before venturing into the dense forest with experienced guides. The trek can be challenging, but encountering a gorilla family in the wild is truly unforgettable. You’ll spend up to an hour quietly observing them from a respectful distance.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Enjoy a lunch stop in Mbarara before continuing to your peaceful lodge in the wilderness. Evening bon fire with connecting activity.

Day 11: Wildlife Safari & Pony Rides
Start your day with a morning game drive through Lake Mburo NP, home to unique species like eland, impala, and Burchell’s zebra. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the tranquil lake shores. Bird lovers will be delighted by the chance to spot species such as the African finfoot, fish eagle, shoebill stork, and many more. Afterwards, return to the lodge for a pony ride or some well-deserved relaxation.

Day 12: Equator Stop & Return to Entebbe
After an early breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. En route, stop at the Equator for the famous water experiment and a fun photo opportunity — one foot in the Northern Hemisphere, the other in the Southern. A memorable way to end your family safari!
